UCS worked closely with the client to identify different technology solutions in the market that would meet their requirements for a room and desk booking solution. A number of solutions where reviewed and through an intensive project it was determined that UCS and UMA met the requirements now and in the future.

The solution – 2800+ Desk Sensors, 400+ Rooms Sensors and Booking Panels, Intelligent Software, 3D floor Mapping, Multi region Implementation with Project Framework completed. The future will be additional environmental and building management monitoring sensors and software and additional region and office uptake.

Large Independent School

A co-educational, independent school for 650 + pupils aged 2 to 18.

This client was using several different providers to supply all the cleaning, education, office, furniture supplies for the large school. Time was taken comparing costs, stock availability and the finance team had to process hundreds of invoices every month. The school received multiple daily deliveries, and this has an impact on sustainability, time, and costs.

UCS created quick lists, contract lists and by working in partnership with the school could manage the entire process, reducing costs, deliveries, whilst delivering consolidated invoices. This has improve the schools efficiencies, sustainability and reduced staff / teachers time and costs.

The client had an existing IT support company that did not meet the client’s requirements. UCS work in partnership to deliver Hardware a as Service across the UK, Germany, and the USA, all backed with warranty and support. This has ensured continuity of technology across the staff and an agreed lifecycle and change for the tech. UCS has now taken over full IT support and management of the clients MS365 estate reducing costs and improving support levels.

The client had a mixed fleet of devices, contracts, and suppliers across regions with no visibility or security of document processes.

By working in partnership, we are the client’s team of technology and sustainability champions, we have provided uniformity of hardware across regions, a full software solution and the ability to remove plastic cards and use mobile technology to authenticate staff across the group.

This has helped the client meet their ESG targets whilst improving user experience and reducing internal IT and Purchasing burden.

SLA’s can now be monitored across regions, internal contract management has been streamlined, and costs reduced.

Academy Trust School

The school had a fragmented technology estate, low WiFi connectivity across the school, classroom projectors were failing, some classrooms had no telephony, no MS365 licences, no working AV equipment in the school hall and non-compliant technology.

UCS Partnered with the school, re-cabling the school, installing Cisco Meraki Wifi Access points, upgraded the legacy phone system with a new VOIP cloud phones system, installed new switches and provided onsite and remote IT support. We also upgrade the managed print solution including secure, follow me print software. The upgrades also included installing a new 200” screen with new speakers and projector in the school hall providing a new immersive student experience. The AV was also upgraded in the classrooms with the Iiyama clever touch interactive teaching displays. We also ensured the school had the correct MS365 licences in place and all technology was now compliant.

Technology in schools is growing and our relationship with the school will develop to ensure the students receive maximum benefits.

Refurbishment and Fit out Contractor

A refurbishment and fit out contractor based in Hertfordshire, managing sites throughout the southeast.

The client didn’t have a manged print solution – there was no visibility of costs or iusage, workplace and site supplies were being purchased on an adhoc manner from varying suppliers, resulting in a lack of cohesion and cost control. As part of their business, they needed to provide detailed reports on their C02 and Carbon footprint – this was a key to winning tenders.

UCS partnered to provide a managed print solution, resulting in a fixed cost base, a single source and consolidated invoices for the site workplace supplies and through Greenly’s carbon assessment the client can now grow and win more tenders.

A mental health charity in England and Wales, founded in 1946, There’s more than 100 local sites across England and Wales, offering specialised support and care based on the needs of their communities.

A new site has been commissioned and UCS have partnered with the charity to complete a total project refit including new cabling, WiFi, MS365 Licences, VoIP Cloud Phone System, Mobile Sims, Broadband, IT Tech on subscription – HaaS, IT services with onsite and remote support, new Furniture and Workplace, Breakroom and Kitchen Supplies, Managed Print, and new Energy Procurement – Electricity and Gas contracts.

This has delivered consistent contract terms, single point of management, resulting in cost savings and efficiencies for the charity.

An education group of over 80,000 students in over 110 schools across 24 countries.

UCS have partnered with the group to provide a consistent managed print solution including secure and follow me printing. SLA’s have improved as well as group costs and visibility. UCS have also reduced the supplier base of education and workplace suppliers.
Just three of the schools in the group were processing over 600 invoices every 4 months – this has now been reduced to 4 invoices, savings on products, staff time and resources, reduced deliveries, a single point of contact and over £40,000.00 per year in financial savings across just three of the schools.
